Henley Royal Regatta 2009: Update - Jul 11

The Regatta’s Flagship event for International VIIIs, the Grand Challenge Cup, was won on Sunday last by a Great Britain composite crew by half a length after a thrilling duel with a United States of America composite.  Tom Ransley, CUBC Blue 2008 and 2009, stroked the GB crew, with Peter Marsland, who gained his CUBC Blues with Tom, in the 4 seat.  At 3 was James Orme, Goldie 2004 and 2005.

James, Tom and Peter now travel to Lucerne for this weekend’s third Rowing World Cup Regatta as members of the GB VIII.
