Deaglan McEachern elected President of Cambridge University Boat Club 2009-2010 - Jun 01

At a meeting in Goldie Boathouse this evening, Deaglan McEachern was confirmed as CUBC's President for 2009-2010. Deaglan, a History student and alumnus of the University of California (Berkeley), becomes the first Hughes Hall man in the college's history to hold this office.

Deaglan declined to comment as to whether working on Senator Obama's election team in 2008 had given him the edge in hustings.
